In 1978. at the age of 15. Bobby Harris became the youngest cowboy in the history of professional rodeo to capture Rookie of the Year honors
He has qualified for the National Finals Rodeo 18 times, winning the prestigious NFR average title in 1987,1990, 2002 and 2010.
Bobby was also the 1990 World Timed-Event Champion and 1991 PRCA World Champion. In fact, there are few competitions Bobby hasn't owned at one time or another. He is a two-time winner of the George Strait Classic and a two-time reserve champ of the Bob Feist Invitational, and won the USTRC championship in 1993.
Bobby, who has two children, Kendall & Ryan, and his wife, Colleen, who has three children Bailey, Natalie & Brody make their lives in Highmore, S.D. Bobby has continued competing throughout his 30 years of teaching clinics. In 2001. he became the 38th PRCA cowboy to reach the 1 million mark in his professional career. He continues teaching today and is still winning, enjoying a top-15 ranking through spring 2010. In July, 2010 Bobby won Cheyenne Frontier Days with Britt Williams.
